Two weeks ago Veda Jane made our rounds through Tennessee throwing baby showers and visiting family. I hadn't been home since we moved to Mobile- SIX whole months- which is a lot for me! Time sure has flown, but considering the fact that meeting new people means bringing up where you are from a LOT, Johnson City has been at the top of my mind and getting home was something I have been eager to do. Once I started seeing snow pictures popping up everywhere, I turned green with envy and knew it would be worth the ten hour trek.
Aside from the fact that Veda Jane is a terrible eater and sleeper when we travel, making life a little difficult during and after (we're still in recovery), the week felt like a retreat. I arrived to snow and had no choice but to appease Veda Jane's obsession with her Gimmie by letting my mom do EVERYTHING for her. She wouldn't even let me change her diaper, she wanted GIMMIE to do it. Oh well!
